Eating sunshine…and wobbling
So it turns out that feeling a “bit” better and then running 2 hard tempo runs and leading a running group efforts session, all in the pouring rain, makes Lucy an ill person… again.
And it sucks ass.
There I was, powering along canals, putting my efforts back in to “catching up” when all of a sudden, literally, 2 hours after my third soggy run of the week, my nose wouldn’t stop running, the sneezes kept coming and wiped out for another week was I.
There’s 10 weeks to go until London.
I’m supposed to be up to 15 miles(ish) on my long runs.
Well, the sun came out FINALLY on Saturday and I managed 3.
3, measly, slow, difficult miles.
So with all the sunshine eating in the world, it’s taking forever to get my strength back, my energy levels up, and honestly? I’m bored of feeling like a tired old lady all the time.
So - trying no to panic TOO MUCH (but that’s hard).
Trying not to eat the entire packet of Tim Tams (too late).
Trying to give myself “slow and steady to get back on your feet” vibes rather than jumping back too soon again.
As you can imagine…. not much of this is working!! 😱
Help me out here! Sling some lovely fundraising money my way and make me feel better!!!!!
