When the shit hits YOUR fan - Disaster proofing 101

£48.00

From ultimate annihilation movie to Ryan Gosling rom-com: Disaster-proof your business before the drama starts

Sudden illness in your team?

Maternity leave requested?

Someone’s decided to pick up their ball and go work for your competitor?

What do you do?!

What happens when your world turns from skating along a Malibu promenade on your in-line skates vibes to clinging to a sinking dingy in the middle of the ocean being circled by sharks and David Hasselhoff is nowhere to be seen?

If you aren’t with me on the Baywatch reference, that’s ok… I’m sure you get the gist, and while as human beings we tend to steer more towards pleasure than pain, TRUST ME - doing the work here will put you well ahead of the game should something happen that disrupts an otherwise normal Wednesday.

Planning for your team eventualities is a smart move and future you will be very grateful - so if you’ve never stopped to think about what you’d do if your team disappeared, got sick, got pregnant, got abducted by aliens or just gave up and left, then this is for you.

In this workshop we'll cover:

👀Your reality check: cruising along with your head in the sand won’t work for you forever, so lets be really brave a look at the situation head on. Even just identifying potential problems can go a long way toward getting the brain into solution mode.

🤔What’s the worst that can happen?: Let’s look at some common scenarios about what you may come up against. You may have tackled one or two already… what else is out there?

👩‍⚕️Team Triage: Practical stuff, right here. We’ll go through your team with a traffic light system so that you can literally see where the risks are.

🚨Disaster Scenario Planner: No, you don’t need to keep a hazard suit on the back of your door, but a document to keep handy so you’re ready to roll when you need it.

💩 The “Oh shit” list: A checklist to make sure that if the shit DOES happen, you are all covered. Covered in a good way, not a covered in 💩kind of way…

Workshop bit: A major problem in small businesses is that we don’t have contingency plans. That tends to be the realm of big corporates who have time and resources to spend on this sort of stuff. The problem is, when the shit hits the fan in a small business, it’s all the more painful - precisely because we don’t have the time and resources to cope.

I want you to channel your inner Baden-Powell, buckle in and Be Prepared. You won’t get a badge, but you will get a bucket load of resources to help you make your emergency plans ahead of time because “hoping for the best” is not a great business strategy.

My goal with all my workshops is to deliver something fun, easy to watch and easy to action, so if you're expecting to be bored to death and to come away with more questions than answers, then this is NOT the right workshop for you.
